About this event
Join our inaugural group for this training session on how to become a platform agent for the Issaquah Valley Trolley! Registrants are invited to stay for their first volunteer shift after the training, from 11am–3pm or as available.
Before you attend this session, you'll be required to sign up for your role and provide your birth date so we can run your Washington State background check (required for all IHM volunteers). You'll also be asked to complete a general IHM volunteer orientation, if you haven't already done so.
This training event will cover:
Platform operations, including safety, duties and responsibilities, schedule, communications, ticketing, platform operations/safety, accessibility ramp, and rider restrictions.
Crowd and queue management, including who goes where and how to keep everyone safe while waiting for and boarding the trolley.
Visitor relations, that is, how to make sure riders have a great time, no matter what.
