Dear Friends of Issaquah History Museums,
As we anticipate the swing from shorter to longer days, we have been reflecting on a truly remarkable year filled with memorable moments and meaningful achievements.
This year, our dedicated efforts to preserve and celebrate Issaquah's rich heritage brought numerous benefits to our community. From our engaging exhibits that brought history to life, to our educational programs that inspired curiosity and learning among students and residents alike, we have made significant strides in fostering a deep sense of community pride and connection.
Highlights of the year include:
Educational Programming: Our twenty history presentations and tours attracted over 400 visitors, providing spaces for sharing our local stories, strengthening community identity, and creating social connections.
Depot Museum: This iconic symbol of our unique history hosted 3,800 museum guests and 120 events, all pulsing with community spirit.
History Vignettes: Over 100 fresh history stories posted on social media garnered nearly 14,000 interactions from the public.
We are incredibly grateful for the unwavering support from our volunteers, donors, and the community. Your contributions have been instrumental in our success and have ensured that Issaquah's stories continue to inspire and educate.
Looking ahead, we are excited to begin working on a new exhibit and associated educational programming focused on the historic accomplishments of those who fought for the preservation of the Issaquah Alps. Their impact has rippled out across Washington state. The stories of these truly historic events promise to bring even more opportunities for learning and creating new connections among all who cherish the remarkable landscape that surrounds us. Stay tuned for more details!
Thank you for being a vital part of our journey. Together, we are not just preserving history; we are building a vibrant, connected community.
Warm wishes for a joyous holiday season!
