About the role

Be among the first to see new donations, and help us make decisions about the artifacts in our care. The ideal volunteer for this role brings a passion for local history, longtime knowledge of Issaquah, or both. Responsibilities include: 

  • Attending quarterly meetings to review artifacts for acceptance or deaccession

  • Advising IHM’s decisions regarding those artifacts

  • Learning basic museum collections practices and ethics necessary (in role)


Expected commitment

Attendance at a quarterly meeting, plus pre-review of materials where applicable


Requirements

Background check (18+); 2 professional or personal references (non-family); deep investment in Issaquah history.
