About the role

A dream opportunity for the historically minded naturalist. Act as a sweeper on the Grand Ridge Mine History Hike, led by local historian and longtime volunteer Tom Anderson. You'll be responsible for: 

  • Accompanying the hike group for the entire time

  • Signing attendees both into and out of the hike

  • Carrying emergency supplies (ex: a few extra water bottles and first-aid kit)

  • Rounding up the back of the group to ensure nobody gets lost

  • Taking photos if possible


Expected commitment

3.5 hours


Requirements

Background check (18+); able to hike for 3 hours; willing to download Wix check-in app on personal phone.
