Open House at the Historic Issaquah Train Depot

One thing we cannot do is erase our history, and our mission to discover, preserve, and share the history and heritage of Issaquah and the surrounding area speaks to that.

Yet as much as we would all rather forget about the pandemic, the prolonged shutdown had a big impact on Issaquah History Museums. It affected our programs, our volunteers, our members, and how we engage with the community at-large. But things have turned around and we are thrilled to be connecting with everyone again.

On Thursday, November 16, 7:00 pm-8:30 pm, we are having an OPEN HOUSE at the historic Issaquah Train Depot and invite you to join us. This is the perfect opportunity to say hello and visit the many information stations set up throughout the Depot to learn the latest about:

• The IHM Collection – what we have and how you can access it
• Gilman Town Hall – its status and our plans for 2024
• The Trolley – our efforts towards getting it running again
• IHM Programs – guided tours, hikes, and student education
• Auto Freight Building, the Army Car, and more from our rail collection
• Volunteering – how to get involved in bringing IHM back to life
• Plus a whole lot more!

Whether you’re an old friend with a passion for history or a new acquaintance who sees IHM in your future, then this event is the place to learn about us and the ways that you can get involved.
