2026 Volunteer Recognition Round-Up
Who restored the Issaquah Train Depot? Volunteers.
Who keeps our museum open every weekend? Volunteers!
Who started our organization in 1972? VOLUNTEERS!
As we enter this season of gratitude, we want to acknowledge some of the extraordinary contributions made by our volunteer community. All together, volunteers have contributed 2,000+ hours toward our mission in 2026. Do the math, and that's a combined donation of around $86,000!
Some of our volunteers' major achievements:
Hosting 6,500+ museum visitors
Welcoming 2,500+ ticketed trolley riders
Updating 610+ catalog records
Scanning and digitizing 850+ archival materials
Keeping a 101-year-old trolley running beautifully
Repainting the south wall in our historic Freight Room
We're indebted to the efforts of the IHM community for everything we've accomplished, and it's time for a major recognition round-up for some of our volunteers who were active in 2026. We want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to:
