Help us staff tables at events in and around our community—places like elementary schools, Salmon Days, culture fests, and other local organizations. This is a general pool for volunteers who like this kind of work, and we'll give you the option of opting into specific events as they arise and as they fit your schedule.
Responsibilities may include:
Greeting visitors to our table and making conversation
Wearing your Issaquah History Museums volunteer t-shirt and a badge with your name
Sharing basic information about the Issaquah History Museums—ex: our mission, museum hours, website, offerings, and locations
Operating a clicker or keeping a simple tally of visitors
Helping visitors interact with touchable artifacts at our table (ex: coal, lanterns, stereoscope, stamps)
Sharing a few fun facts (of your choice) about Issaquah—ex: its early history and industries, trains, inhabitants, etc.
Specifics vary based on event, age group, etc.
