Mix of classroom and hands-on training (6-7 hours over multiple days) + one weekend a month (two 6-hour days) during the operating season (May-September).

The Trolley Operator is primarily responsible for the safe movement and operation of the trolley and power car. Responsibilities and duties include:
Operate the trolley at a safe speed consistent with weather conditions, visibility, traffic and track conditions, traffic signal indications and track signal indications.
Perform pre-operation safety checks of the trolley, power car, and tracks.
Prepare the trolley and power car for operation.
Pilot the trolley from the barn to the Depot and throughout the entire out-and-back trip.
Pilot the trolley back into the barn and perform all post-operation procedures.
Assist with the boarding and unboarding of passengers as needed.
Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols, including hand signals, audible signals, and rail operation signs and signals.
Complete all required paperwork for the preparation, operation, and storage of the trolley and power car.

- Exercises good judgment and possesses the ability to resolve unexpected situations.
- Meets the physical demands and requirements of the position.
- Must have a valid driver's license and pass a background check.
