Classroom training (1.5 hours) + self-paced study (history stories) + one weekend a month (two 6-hour days) during the operating season (May-September).

About the role
The Trolley Conductor primarily attends to the needs of the passengers, and shares with them the stories of Issaquah history. Responsibilities and duties include:
Assists the Trolley Operator with the pre-trip walkthrough to ensure the car and safety equipment are ready for service.
Manages the passenger ramp at the Depot, ensuring all riders are safely on board and seated before departure.
Acts as the trolley's narrator, sharing Issaquah history stories with passengers during the trip.
Controls the trolley's start and stop points by communicating with the Operator via the onboard bell system.
Maintains a constant watch for pedestrians, cars, and hazards to help the Operator navigate the line safely.
De-boards at busy intersections to manually trigger pedestrian signals or flag the trolley through when needed.

Qualifications
- Must have a friendly demeanor and enjoy working with the general public.
- Exercises good judgment and possesses the ability to resolve unexpected situations.
- Meets the physical demands and requirements of the position.
- Must have a valid driver's licence and pass a background check.
