Trolley Platform Agent

Part greeter, part historian, all trolley enthusiast! As a trolley platform agent, you'll be the friendly face visitors see as they approach the Issaquah Valley Trolley, anticipating the fun and excitement of their 20-minute ride aboard our 101-year-old machine.

We need platforms who are great at:

• Engaging people of all ages and walks of life

• Performing basic crowd control, like providing instructions on where to line up, find information, and buy tickets

• Sharing trolley fun facts and enthusiasm with riders who are waiting for their turn to board

• Functioning as a part of a whole crew, collaborating with trolley conductors, operators, ticketing agents, and museum docents

Other responsibilities may include:

• Helping to keep our platform safe and secure for all visitors

• Helping to set up and operate our wayside ADA lift and coordinating the priority boarding of passengers requiring mobility assistance 

• Providing information on schedules, boarding procedures, and more

• Communicating with the trolley conductor to confirm that all registered passengers are accounted for and that the ramp is clear before the trolley departs

Big personalities and period-appropriate costumes are welcomed but not required.
